Visualisterna
Branding & design, 2015-2019

I have had the privilege of working with the stylist-duo Visualisterna since the start of their brand. In 2015 they approached me and needed help to create a logo suitable both for the world of fashion and interior design. The outcome was a logo with its origin in the typeface Futura, but deconstructed to create a visual game with the eye, since there’s no bigger part in the “I”, only two components equal as strong as the other part. The long-term partnership with Visualisterna has resulted in prop design, T-shirt prints, Boob by and Christmas decor, to mention a few projects.

The Christmas decor for store windows at Forumgallerian, Uppsala, was one of our bigger projects yet to come. The illustration holds a layout of a Christmas calendar, and features typical elements for the city it’s located in; the Uppsala Cathedral, houses nearby and some well-known characters from the city. Some calendar slots were opened for passersby to view into, featuring everything from a carousel with tea cups to a little drummer boy and Santa Clause hiding behind a hologram.

Combined with set design provided by Visualisterna, the decor won the prize for best Christmas decor in Uppsala 2018, by the newspaper Upsala Nya Tidning, UNT.
